Pastor Web Gehring
Pastor Web Gehring serves as Associate Pastor at Faith, and in his role, he is responsible to plan and lead our worship services and to oversee our ministry communications. Web began his time at Faith as a ministry associate just after his college graduation in 2016, and he moved into the role of associate pastor in February 2022.
Web earned a bachelor’s degree in music and philosophy from Luther College and completed a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the summer of 2022.
Pastor Web met his wife Ramsey when they were both undergraduate students, and they married in June 2016 soon after their graduation. The Lord has graciously given them three children: Samuel, Juliana, and Benjamin. Web enjoys wrestling with and reading to his kids, talking with his wife, following the St. Louis Cardinals with his dad, and playing fetch with his dog. For a refreshing mental break, he enjoys turning on music or an audio book and getting creative in the kitchen, preparing a meal for his family.
How has the Lord used your studies to conform you to the image of Christ?
“Both disciplines [the study of music and of philosophy] readily produced pride and humility in my heart. The Lord would grant me success in performance, or insight in study, then I would open my big mouth and say something dumb or whiff a key musical moment. I make mistakes, and I certainly don't know everything.
“Christ is precious to me when I see my mistakes and my puffed-up-arrogance nailed to His cross. At the same time, my schooling equipped me to see and love that pattern in God's dealings with me... and it equipped me to SING about His kindness.”
